Our Client

A global consulting firm is building a new Financial Services Performance Improvement capability in Southeast Asia and is seeking a Director / Senior Consulting Director to help lead this effort.

This is not a maintenance role. It is a senior, market-facing position for someone who wants to own a space, shape the offering, and convert real client opportunities into delivered work.

The Opportunity

You will sit at the intersection of financial institutions, special situations, and performance improvement, working closely with banks, asset managers, and private capital investors.

The focus is on complex, high-impact engagements, including:

  • Special Asset Management (SAM)
  • Non-Performing Loans (NPL)
  • Balance sheet optimisation and recovery strategies
  • Operational and financial performance improvement within FS

This is an early-stage capability build, with existing client leads and strong regional backing. The right person will become a visible senior figure in the region as this practice scales.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Act as a senior advisor to FS and PE clients on SAM / NPL-related challenges
  • Lead and shape client pitches, helping convert opportunities into mandates
  • Work hands-on with clients during early engagement phases, then oversee delivery
  • Partner closely with regional leadership to define and grow the FS PI offering
  • Build trusted client relationships and establish market credibility in the region

There is no immediate revenue target, but you will be expected to win work over time. Strong commercial performers will have a clear path to further senior progression.
