Job Description

Responsibilities

A. Early Performance Indicator Monitoring

  • Monitor early contract-month indicators such as:
  • First Payment Default (FPD)
  • Second Payment Default (SPD)
  • Third Payment Default (TPD)
  • Early vintage indicators
  • Perform cross-segmentation analysis by income, occupation, product, channel, and other key dimensions
  • Detect abnormalities in newly approved accounts
  • Escalate potential issues and propose corrective actions

B. Application-In Status Monitoring

  • Track monthly application funnel metrics:
  • Approve
  • Reject
  • Cancel
  • Pending
  • Sub-status per each funnel
  • Analyze these indicators by acquisition channels
  • Identify rationales behind abnormal patterns such as sudden shifts in approval rate, rejection rate, or cancellation behavior
  • Provide early warning signals to management

C. Credit Policy Strengthening & Relaxation

  • Design and implement credit policy adjustments based on:
  • Early to Long term risk indicators
  • Business direction
  • Portfolio performance
  • Propose segmentation-based policy actions (e.g., by income, occupation, geography, customer type,
  • and etc.)
  • Simulate policy impact before implementation
  • Monitor post-change performance and fine-tune rules

D. Credit Underwriting Review & Governance

  • Review and update underwriting criteria on a regular basis
  • Ensure that credit policies remain aligned with:
  • Bank of Thailand (BOT) regulations
  • National Credit Bureau (NCB) guidelines
  • Internal risk appetite
  • Maintain proper documentation of policy logic and changes

E. R-CLIPS (Rule-Based System) Management

  • Manage credit policy rules via the R-CLIPS (solution-based) system
  • Perform rule changes and configuration updates
  • Conduct impact analysis before implementation
  • Submit changes to Team Head for review and final approval

F. NCB Data Utilization

  • Utilize NCB data and Credit Review products effectively
  • Design new variables based on NCB insights
  • Interpret NCB data in a business-relevant way
  • Ensure proper governance and data usage logic

G. Internal Blacklist Management

  • Maintain and enhance internal blacklist criteria
  • Understand the end-to-end blacklist logic
  • Propose improvements based on emerging fraud or risk patterns
  • Coordinate with IT for system enhancement when required

H. Pilot Test / Promotional Campaign Design & Monitoring

  • Design pilot test frameworks when requested by Marketing or Business
  • Identify appropriate target and control segments
  • Create monitoring templates to compare pilot vs. closest comparable segments
  • Evaluate pilot effectiveness and propose next actions

I. IT Development Support

  • Support IT projects such as:
  • Mobile applications
  • Web platforms
  • Digital onboarding flows
  • Define credit screening logic and required risk checkpoints
  • Participate in UAT and logic validation

J. Possible Fraud Detection

  • Develop early fraud detection logic using:
  • Historical data
  • Early delinquency patterns
  • Statistical anomaly detection
  • Generate possible fraud lists
  • Coordinate with Collection, Marketing, and Risk teams
  • Propose preventive measures

K. Loan Review Framework

  • Prepare rational and defendable loan review lists

Support:

  • Credit limit reduction
  • Top-up eligibility
  • Exposure restructuring
  • Focus especially on Revolving Loan portfolios
  • Ensure fairness, consistency, and risk alignment

L. Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities

  • Supervise Assistant Managers, Senior Officers, and Officers
  • Review analytical outputs and policy logic
  • Translate complex analysis into management-friendly insights
  • Support Team Head with reports, presentations, and executive materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in financial institutions with career of: Credit planning/ Credit policy / Underwriting Criteria setting/ Portfolio monitoring
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior staff is preferred

Strong understanding of:

  • Credit lifecycle
  • Underwriting logic
  • Portfolio monitoring
  • Risk indicators
  • Analysis / monitoring framework

Familiarity with:

  • Excel (advanced)
  • SQL (preferred)
  • Power BI / Tableau
  • Rule-based systems (nice to have)

Regulatory & Business Acumen

  • Understanding of BOT and NCB requirements
  • Ability to balance growth and risk
  • Strong business intuition
