Overview:
The Space, Range, and Display (SRD) Team is looking for a Data Analyst to be a part of our team. This role focuses on leveraging data analysis techniques to identify opportunities for optimizing SRD's processes, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in database management systems, project documentation, and SQL query scripting for visualization purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management System: Assist in managing/monitoring database systems related to SRD ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
- Data Lineage: Support the maintenance of accurate data lineage documentation, tracking the origin and movement of data within the SRD ecosystem.
- AI-Driven Data Analysis: Familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini) for data analysis, documentation, automation, or workflow improvement.
- Project Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to document project workflows, data processes, and analytical methodologies for process improvement initiatives.
- Verify Data Source and Business Use Case: Assist in validating data sources for reliability and relevance to business use cases, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
- SQL Query Scripts for Visualization: Develop and optimize SQL query scripts to extract, transform, and analyze SRD's data for visualization purposes. Ensure that queries align with business requirements and optimize query costs.
- Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and reporting processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Strong foundation in SQL. Experience with query optimization techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives.
- Having a Data-Driven mindset, use data to encourage ideas, identify opportunities and problems.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the field of data analysis and SRD.
