Senior Data Engineer

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analytics Engineer to lead large-scale data and AI initiatives for a leading enterprise organization. This role combines technical leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement to drive data governance, analytics, and AI-driven solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical teams to design data architectures, implement data quality frameworks, and oversee the delivery of advanced analytics and AI use cases.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance initiatives, including data assessment, data architecture planning, and enterprise data model development.
• Design, review, and optimize data models to support business and operational requirements.
• Manage and guide a technical team in the deployment of AI and advanced analytics solutions.
• Develop and oversee ETL processes, data integration workflows, and data quality management frameworks.
• Define and implement data quality rules, controls, and monitoring processes.
• Prepare testing documentation, coordinate user acceptance testing, and support solution rollout activities.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align project objectives, technical designs, and delivery plans.
• Monitor project timelines, manage risks and issues, and provide regular project status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure delivered solutions meet quality, performance, and business expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in data analytics, big data, business intelligence, or AI-related projects.
• Proven experience leading data teams and managing end-to-end data or analytics projects.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data modeling, data architecture, and data governance principles.
• Experience in data quality management, auditing, and governance frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with databases, ETL tools, and data integration technologies.
• Strong programming and analytics skills using tools such as SQL, Python, PySpark, Java, or similar technologies.
• Experience with BI and reporting tools for dashboard and visualization development.
• Familiarity with machine learning, generative AI, or advanced analytics solutions is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
