Description
We are looking for a Senior Developer with expertise in GCP, BigQuery, and Python to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing data processing systems and will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines and ensuring the effective management of data.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement data processing systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Write, optimize and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices in data management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in data pipelines and applications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers.
Skills and Qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience in software development with a focus on data engineering.
- Proficient in Google Cloud Platform services, especially BigQuery.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation libraries like Pandas and NumPy.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience with SQL and database management systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
