Job Description

  • Responsibilities
  • General
  • Manages Electrical Engineering related deliverables in the project (from design, construction to Commissioning (Cx), ensuring that they meet the clients specifications and project milestones.
  • Provides technical advice and solutions to engineering challenges, contributing to innovate designs and solutions that are compliant with local Thai codes.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry codes, standards and regulations.
  • Monitors project progress, identify and resolve issues, and provide regular status updates to key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications and compliance requirements
  • Liaises with clients, regulatory authorities, and other external stakeholders to address concerns and maintain strong relationships
  • Prepares reports on project progress, delays, and defects, as well as technical reports and analyses.
  • Coordinates and manages cross-functional teams internally and externally, including designers and engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution

ii. Design and Planning

  • Develop electrical design plans and specifications in accordance with project requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Create detailed drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Evaluate electrical systems, products, components, and applications to ensure they meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.

iii. Installation and Construction Oversight

  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure electrical systems are installed according to design plans and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide technical support during construction.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate schedules and resolve conflicts.

iv. Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all electrical installations and systems comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Implement and enforce safety guidelines and procedures to minimize risks and hazards on construction sites.
  • Testing and Commissioning
  • Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems to verify functionality, performance, and safety.
  • Coordinate with testing agencies and stakeholders for system commissioning and certification.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues that arise during testing or commissioning phases.

vi. Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including design changes, approvals, and project progress.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PE license) may be preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer in construction projects, with a focus on electrical systems design, installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (NEC, IEC, etc.), and construction practices.
  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in EPC project.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Knowledge of DC technologies, substation, regulations, Infrastructure, sequence of workers, SOO, QA/QC, CxM, and EHS is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Should have good understanding and/ or project experience for Cx / testing and commissioning.
  • Should have good understanding of prefabrication/ long lead equipment (LLE)
  • Should have good understanding of DC project delivery cycle.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.) would be an advantage.
  • Proven experience in RFP and tender management, and contract negotiation would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations.
  • Should be familiar with local permitting process.
  • Skills:
