Senior Electrical Engineer – High-Speed PCB
Pattaya, Chon Buri | On-site | Contract | Up to $32 USD per hour
Global Engineering Talent is supporting a leading global electronics design and manufacturing business with the appointment of a Senior Electrical Engineer at its facility in Pattaya.
This is a hands-on board design position for an experienced engineer capable of taking complex electronic hardware from architecture and schematic design through board bring-up, validation and production release.
You will work on high-performance products incorporating technologies such as PCIe Gen4/5, JESD204B, USB 3.0+, power management, clocking and analog front-end circuitry.
This is not an electrical power, building services, maintenance or controls engineering position.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex electronic hardware and board-level design activities
- Develop system architecture, schematics and component selections
- Design high-speed digital and high-performance analog circuits
- Guide PCB layout and participate in design reviews
- Lead board bring-up, testing, debugging and root-cause analysis
- Resolve signal integrity, power integrity and board-performance issues
- Take designs through validation, manufacturing and production release
- Coordinate technical activities across hardware, FPGA, software and mechanical engineering teams
- Work with international engineering teams and customer-facing stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance to other engineers throughout the development lifecycle
Essential experience
- Strong hands-on electronic hardware or PCB design experience
- Experience taking complex board designs from concept through to production
- Strong schematic capture and component-selection capability
- Board bring-up, laboratory testing and hardware-debugging experience
- Experience with at least one of the following:
- PCIe Gen4 or Gen5
- JESD204B
- USB 3.0 or above
- Experience designing or integrating:
- Power management and PMIC circuitry
- Clock generation, distribution or synchronisation
- High-performance analog or analog front-end circuitry
- Experience supporting PCB layout, signal integrity or power integrity reviews
- Ability to lead technical reviews and complex troubleshooting activities
- Professional English communication skills
Particularly valuable
Experience with any of the following would be highly relevant:
- High-voltage pulsers
- High-voltage switching circuitry
- Multiplexer board design
- FPGA-based hardware
- Test and measurement equipment
- Medical, semiconductor or industrial electronics
- Low-volume, high-complexity electronic products
Location and engagement
This is a fully on-site position in Pattaya, Chon Buri and cannot be performed remotely.
Candidates should already be based in Thailand and hold the legal right to work. Candidates elsewhere in Thailand must be willing to relocate or commute to Pattaya.
The contract rate is up to $32 USD per hour for approved hours worked, depending on technical experience and overall suitability.
