Job purpose:
Lead and manage Employee and Labor Relations strategies to create a positive, inclusive, and compliant workplace. Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, uphold human rights, promote diversity and well-being, and align with Thai Union's sustainability commitments and Big 6 Values: Passionate, Humble, Respectful, Responsible, Collaborative, Innovative.
Job responsibilities:
- Employee & Labor Relations: Oversee grievance management processes, ensuring timely, fair, and transparent resolution of employee concerns.
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure ER policies comply with labor laws and global human rights standards; develop and implement HR policies to meet organizational needs.
- Human Rights & Social Responsibility: Champion human rights activities and ethical labor practices; collaborate with NGOs and external stakeholders to support advocacy and social impact programs.
- DEI & Well-being Programs: Lead Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and Thai Union's Happy 8 Program to foster inclusivity, mental health, and employee well-being.
- Engagement & Communication: Design and execute communication plans for engagement programs; monitor effectiveness and proactively address gaps to continuously improve employee experience.
- Data & Insights: Analyze ER and engagement metrics to identify trends and root causes; develop solutions to enhance organizational capability and culture.
- Legal Coordination: Partner with internal/external legal counsel on employment-related issues; assist in preparing responses to complaints or charges.
- Project Leadership: Lead ER-related projects, DEI initiatives, and change management programs.
- Other Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in labor law, HR, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years in employee relations or HR leadership roles; experience in grievance management, DEI, and human rights programs is a plus
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of labor law and human rights standards
- Ability to build partnerships with NGOs and external stakeholders
- Creativity and ability to drive innovative solutions
