Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to design mechanical systems tailored to the specific needs of the data center, including HAVC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), cooling systems, and airflow management.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems and ensure compliance with the design specifications, patents, and facility standards.
- Consistently monitor and analyze the performance of the mechanical systems to identify opportunities for optimization, energy efficiency improvements, and cost savings.
- Assess the capacity of mechanical infrastructure to support current and future demands of the data center and make recommendations for expansion as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of all mechanical systems in the data center.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair tasks. Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and quality service delivery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment specifications, and operational procedures. Generate regular reports on the performance and health of mechanical systems for management review.
- Respond to mechanical systems failures or performance issues, diagnosing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards governing mechanical systems and implement measures to mitigate risk associated with potential hazards such as fire, electrical faults, or hazardous materials.
- On-call responsibility when qualified and designated.
- Provides change requests, reporting, and documentation in DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management System) system.
- Supports project, construction, research, and development activities.

Required Job Skills:
- Required to work a flexible schedule according to business needs/events (to include but not limited to nights and weekends and/or shift rotation).
- Efficiently interact with computing systems.
- Ability to navigate and effectively utilize ticketing systems.
- Good oral and written communication in English and Thai, and interpersonal skills using methods such as direct contact, phone, email, and instant messaging as well as documentation/tracking incidents in the ticketing system.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems that may be deployed in a data center environment. This may include electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units, air handling units, cooling towers, pumping, and fire suppression systems.
- Strong background in HVAC control systems and mechanical operation.
- Must be familiar with safety requirements and OSHA regulations governing a multi-megawatt facility.
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
Computer Equipment and Software:
- Computer literate with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with equipment terminal access applications.
- Experience with network monitoring software applications.
- Experience with CFD simulator program or similar software applications.
- Experience with CAD software or similar software applications.
Education and Experience:
- Microsoft Suite: Must have strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
Certification:
- Any certifications relevant to the job field.
- Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP) or Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS) would be advantage.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical.
- 5+ years of experience in Mechanical design and engineering
- Engineering related Certifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years experience in mechanical maintenance or relevant field experience.
