About our group:

The Equipment Development Engineering (EDE) team is dedicated to delivering innovative equipment solutions and manufacturing technologies that align with Industry 4.0 standards. Our comprehensive process encompasses design, development, qualification, and integration. We specialize in automated machinery, tooling (such as Slider Electrical Test Socket--SETS and Minideck--MD), and process development for component testing systems, including Slider Dynamic Electrical Test (SDET) and Component Evaluation Tool (ComET).

About the role - you will:

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting electrical systems for complex automation equipment. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams, customers, and suppliers to deliver highquality solutions on schedule while driving continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

  • Create and maintain electrical schematics and documentation for equipment build and deployment.
  • Specify and source electrical components meeting design, quality, cost, and availability requirements.
  • Develop and execute testing and validation plans to ensure system performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Support electrical debugging and troubleshooting during development, build, and commissioning.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including BOMs, manuals, test plans, and validation reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and internal design guidelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement and provide ongoing support for legacy equipment and systems.
  • Deliver development equipment according to project schedules and milestones.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and align requirements.
  • Apply Six Sigma / DFSS principles throughout the equipment and tool development lifecycle.

About you:

  • B.S. degree or higher in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical design and automation systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial sensors, actuators, motor control systems and other related industry standards.
  • Experience with CAD tools for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, EPLAN, etc).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, responsible, with a can-do attitude and an open mindset.
  • English proficiency both in writing and speaking.
  • Good communication and teamwork ability.

Your experience includes:

  • Electrical Circuit Design (a must): Able to read, create electrical schematic and wiring diagrams by using tools like SolidWorks, AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
  • Control System (a must): Understand sensors, actuators, relays, encoder, and motor control systems (VFDs, servos) and basic PID control theory.
  • Industrial Communication Protocol (a must): Knowledge of industrial communication protocols like Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, CANopen.
  • Troubleshooting and Testing (a must): Proficient in diagnosing electrical issues in automation systems and able to use diagnostic tools (e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Safety Standards (preferred): Aware of electrical safety standards (e.g., SEMI, SOP39, NFPA, IEC) and understand machine safety components (e.g., emergency stops, safety relays, Interlock switch).
  • Pneumatics System (preferred): Knowledge of pneumatic components (e.g., solenoid, cylinder, manifold, valve).
  • Machine Vision (Preferred): Knowledge of machine vision design and component selection
  • Programing (optional): Knowledge of programming PLCs and uController. Understand ladder logic, function block diagram, and programming syntax.
