The Equipment Development Engineering (EDE) team is dedicated to delivering innovative equipment solutions and manufacturing technologies that align with Industry 4.0 standards. Our comprehensive process encompasses design, development, qualification, and integration. We specialize in automated machinery, tooling (such as Slider Electrical Test Socket--SETS and Minideck--MD), and process development for component testing systems, including Slider Dynamic Electrical Test (SDET) and Component Evaluation Tool (ComET).
- Design and implement a new tooling and conversion kits for automated equipment to support new production requirements.
- Create detailed 3D and 2D component designs and release documentation using EPDM, Windchill, and ECN processes.
- Develop and validate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models using ANSYS Mechanical, CFD, and Dynamics.
- Utilize GD&T, tolerance analysis, FMEA, and simulation tools for design optimization.
- Apply Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles throughout the tool development lifecycle.
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to investigate root cause mechanisms and validate engineering hypotheses.
- Perform continual improvement initiatives on legacy equipment to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
- Integrate data analysis, machine learning, and AI techniques to improve equipment performance and predictive maintenance.
- B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in related field with proficiency of CAD/FEA software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS.
- 1-3 years of experience utilizing statistical tools.
- English proficiency both in writing and speaking.
- Self-motivated, responsible, with a can-do attitude and an open mindset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork ability.
- Proven experience in equipment design, reliability engineering, and process improvement.
- Proficiency in Six Sigma, DFSS, GD&T, FMEA, and simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with ANSYS, CFD, EPDM, Windchill, and ECN systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, machine learning, and AI applications.
- Familiarity with TGA, HGA, and Drive assembly processes.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
