Job Description

Our client is an established organisation in the transportation / infrastructure sector. They are seeking hands-on engineering professionals to support reliability improvement, defect investigation, maintenance optimisation and project engineering across multiple technical disciplines.

The role will involve working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Project teams to investigate technical issues, analyse asset performance, identify reliability concerns, propose engineering solutions, and support implementation across operational assets, systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct defect troubleshooting, root cause analysis, failure analysis and reliability trending.
  • Analyse condition monitoring, maintenance and defect data to identify recurring issues and reliability concerns.
  • Develop engineering solutions, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies.
  • Prepare technical work instructions, maintenance procedures and engineering documentation.
  • Support project design reviews, testing, commissioning and technical verification activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and validate engineering solutions.
  • Identify cost-effective technologies, alternate parts, repair methods and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Work in operational sites, maintenance facilities, workshops or project environments as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience in transportation, infrastructure, maintenance, rolling stock, fleet engineering, signalling, communications, control systems, M&E, power systems, heavy equipment or plant equipment will be advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with reliability engineering methods such as FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Analysis or root cause analysis will be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working hands-on in maintenance, workshop, site, operational or project environments.
  • Good communication, planning and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
