Job Description

  • Lead development of project plans, schedules and budgets for the given IPT projects
  • Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations
  • Supports in the preparation of status and technical content to Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and upper Pratt Whitney management
  • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work
  • Work closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements
  • Supports Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution
  • Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met
  • Support in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plans
  • Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects
  • Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives

OTHER MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES OR TASKS

  • Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training required
  • Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts
  • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company
  • Support project management activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • M.Tech or B.Tech degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • 6+ years of experience with M.Tech or 8+ years of experience with B.Tech preferably in Aerospace/Gas Turbine Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
  • Previous gas turbine experience
  • Experience with engine External components such as tube, bracket, mounting etc are prefered
  • Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software
  • The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent at promoting teamwork

Additional Requirements:

  • Travel up to 10%
