Our Slider Process team at Seagate Korat is committed to advancing cleaning technologies that meet future product requirements and enhance overall product cleanliness and quality. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Engineer to lead, develop, and innovate within our cleaning process organization. This position plays an important role in driving our continuous improvement roadmap and ensuring the sustained excellence of our manufacturing operations.
About The Role - You Will
- Lead the analysis of key process indicators (KPIVs and KPOVs) and develop robust inprocess monitoring systems for cleaning processes across both current and new product lines, ensuring adherence to cleanliness CTQs and maintaining the highest levels of product quality.
- Execute process evaluations, trials, and development activities aligned with project goalsfocusing on quality, continuous improvement, process stability and cost efficiency.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance cleanliness performance and reduce defect rates. Ensure all actions are documented for future reference.
- Contribute to technical innovation by proposing and developing new ideas within your area of expertise.
- Collaborate cross-functional with internal departments and external customers to resolve technical issues and share process knowledge.
- Support the transfer and integration of new technologies from development teams into production environments.
About You
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic and highpressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform effectively in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in chemistry and multimaterial processes with proven problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in crossfunctional collaboration teams and technical discussions.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL or JAMP is considered an advantage.
- Proven leadership, teamwork, and organizational capabilities.
Your Experience Includes
- Master's degree or higher, preferably in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Chemistry and Electrical Engineering .
- Prior experience in HDD manufacturing or slider fabrication and cleaning processes is highly desirable.
- Strong foundational knowledge of chemical properties and engineering principles, particularly those related to cleaning agents (e.g., flammable solvent, surfactant-based, and corrosive chemicals).
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Experience in surface chemistry and familiarity with metrology tools (e.g., AFM) and laboratory analysis equipment (e.g., EDX, FTIR, TOFSIMS, FESEM) is an advantage.
