Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Splunk L2 Administrator with a minimum of 4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Splunk administration, with a focus on managing and optimizing Splunk environments. This role requires a proactive individual who can troubleshoot issues, implement best practices, and ensure the reliability and performance of our Splunk infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Splunk environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Splunk applications and infrastructure.
- Implement and manage Splunk security best practices, including user access controls and data protection.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide Splunk-related solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to optimize Splunk operations.
- Provide L2 support for Splunk-related incidents and requests, ensuring timely resolution.
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated with the latest Splunk features and best practices to enhance system capabilities.
Mandatory Skills
- Proven experience as a Splunk Administrator with a strong understanding of Splunk architecture and components.
- Expertise in SPL (Search Processing Language) for creating complex queries and reports.
- Experience in configuring and managing Splunk apps and add-ons.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line interfaces.
- Knowledge of data ingestion methods and techniques in Splunk.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Splunk Cloud and/or Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
- Certifications related to Splunk administration or data analytics.
- Experience in integrating Splunk with other monitoring and alerting tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Splunk administration or a similar role.
