Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare machine and equipment specification provide to contract assembler and suppliers.
- Perform local source out for machines and equipment based on CKD assembly process and HMC standard.
- Responsible for machine and equipment installation trial and confirmation in collaboration with HMC engineers, contract assembler and suppliers.
- Perform production trial and CBU quality built up and confirmation before SOP, in collaboration with HMC engineers and contract assembler.
- Responsible for overall quality control system, in-process quality and completed car quality meet HMC quality standard.
- Coordinate with related parties to manage customer satisfaction, complaints and quality improvement including other related requirements.
- Coordinate with related parties for production technical problem analysis and countermeasure.
- Plan and manage regular quality audit of production line and completed cars, in collaboration with Contract assembler.
- Perform CBU buy-off inspection and final quality confirmation.
- Coordinate with contract assembler for CBU repair ordering and confirmation.
- Coordinate with HMT PDI team to manage CBU repair and quality status for the units plan to transfer to PDI stock yard.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, engineering, quality control, or CKD/CBU operations.
- At least 5 years of management experience in engineering, production, or QA/QC functions.
- Strong knowledge of CKD/CBU operations, assembly process, and automotive quality systems and standards.
- Ability to analyze production and quality problems and implement effective corrective actions.
- Good knowledge of in-process quality control and completed vehicle quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Able to work closely with overseas engineers and multicultural teams.
- Good command of English communication, both spoken and written.
- Able to travel domestically and overseas when required.
- Experience in the automotive industry, especially with OEM or international automotive companies, will be an advantage.
