Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

1) Primary

  • Facilitate project work group/users discussion to formulate project design brief for preliminary space planning, budgeting and timeline scheduling.
  • Coordinate conceptual/schematic/detailed planning and design, facilitate sign-off by respective stake holders/users.
  • Compile specifications and drawings for tender, evaluate tender submissions and recommend tender awards.
  • Manage contractor to ensure compliance to EHS requirement, infection control and house-rules and regulations.
  • Monitor compliance of relevant local authorities requirement and certification.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion, manage progress, identify critical milestone and escalate issues early to clear critical path and roadblock.
  • Conduct site inspection and handover activities with Operation and users. Ensure work done by contractors meeting specification and requirements.
  • Manage project cost within budget. Recommend value engineering/optimisation to achieve cost effectiveness.
  • Support and provide technical/ design advice to operating centres in respective trained specialty and experience.
  • Maintain project documentation including project briefs, budget, timeline, risk registers, progress meetings and minutes, etc.

2) Secondary

  • Review and support continuous improvement in quality management system and procedures pertaining to department's operation. Participate in audits when necessary.
  • Actively participate in improvement efforts, eg. productivity & digitisation, Green sustainable design, Energy saving, Environmental health and safety initiatives
  • Support Project Managers in planning, coordination, design reviews, documentation and site supervision.

3) Others

  • Handle any ad hoc tasks assigned

Qualifications, Competencies& Experience

  • Degree/Advanced Diploma in Architecture/Interior Design/Building Sciences/Project management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Min 3 - 5years of relevant experience in planning design/project management/construction/renovation and fit-out projects would be added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning and coordination, cost monitoring and budget control, risk identification and mitigation, stakeholder management, meeting facilitation and minutes taking, schedule management and change management, documentation and records management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drawing interpretation (Architectural, M&E, shop drawings)
  • Basic building system knowledge
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AI productivity tools would be added advantage
  • Positive attitude and Willingness to learn
  • Self-motivated and meticulous


. Please note that this is a 1-year contract position. During the contract period, the incumbent may be required to provide coverage for a colleague who is on maternity leave.
