- Act as Senior Site Mechanical Coordinator, leading and overseeing mechanical equipment execution during construction and pre commissioning phases
- Serve as the primary site interface between Contractors, Home Office Engineering, Vendors, Material Control, and Client representatives
- Apply strong detail engineering knowledge to lead discussions with Home Office on constructability, execution sequencing, complex technical clarifications, and risk mitigation
- Review, coordinate, and endorse contractor method statements, work procedures, and inspection & test plans (ITPs) from execution and constructability perspectives
- Lead resolution of complex site technical issues, deviations, and vendor related matters, involving Home Office Engineering as required
- Lead coordination of package equipment execution (e.g. pumps, compressors, packaged skids, vendor supplied units) from delivery through pre commissioning.
- Oversee quality management activities, including inspection planning, mechanical completion, punch list closure, and NCR resolution
- Work closely with the Site Material Control / Material Management team to manage:
- Critical equipment and material priorities
- Material shortages and expediting actions
- Equipment storage, preservation, and release
- Monitor site progress and proactively manage technical, interface, material, and execution risks
- Coordinate closely with construction, commissioning, and multi discipline teams to ensure integrated and efficient site execution
- Lead vendor coordination at site, including technical clarification meetings and performance follow up
- Champion HSE leadership, ensuring compliance with site safety rules and promoting a proactive safety culture
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Field Mechanical Engineers and junior site personnel
- Support site and project management with execution strategies, sequencing input, and coordination planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (professional license preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and construction projects (Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, Chemical)
- Proven experience in both detail engineering and site-based construction/installation roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Package Equipment, including specification, vendor coordination, installation, and commissioning
- Familiar with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, etc.
- Experience working with EPC contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide practical technical solutions.
- Able to work independently at site and manage multiple interfaces under schedule pressure
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
