Position Summary
This position is responsible for performing and overseeing the monthly book closing and the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Supervise daily accounting functions and the preparations of management reports. Regularly interacts with operations and other departments within the company to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs and oversees the monthly closing processes, including preparation, approval and analysis of journal entries for operations divisions before posting to system.
- Oversees daily functions including cash monitoring, payment issues with respect to foreign bank accounts, processes and procedures compliance and work allocation, training, and problem resolution.
- Co-ordinate & guide operations manager in each location to ensure that proper finance procedures are carried out.
- Prepares annual financial statements and audit binders with information requested by foreign audit firms to perform the annual audits. This includes the preparation of audit schedules and communication as required with outside auditors.
- Liaise with external authorities like tax bureau, customs, bank and auditing firm
- Provides assistance to upper management with respect to ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Co-ordinate and assist in month-end closing regionally.
Qualifications Summary
Experience:
- This position requires min 5 years of relevant experience in handling full sets of accounts with CPA qualification;
- Knowledge of Thailand Taxation with Audit experience, Fluent in Written and Spoken English is a must
Education:
- Min Diploma in Accounting or related field with relevant prior experience
Skills:
- Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Have computer skills including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs.
- Possess the ability to communicate at all levels
