Position Summary
The Senior Game Data Analyst analyzes game performance and player behavior to generate insights that improve gameplay, retention, monetization, and live operations.
This role partners closely with Game Directors, Product Managers, and Live Ops teams, translating data into clear, actionable recommendations. Beyond reporting, the analyst actively supports decision-making, experimentation, and game optimization.

Key Responsibilities
Game Performance & Player Behavior
Analyze player behavior across gameplay loops, levels, and features.
Identify friction points, drop-offs, and engagement drivers.
Provide data-driven insights to improve game design.
Retention, Monetization & Live Ops
Monitor key metrics such as retention, churn, ARPU, ARPPU, and conversion funnels.
Evaluate in-game events, promotions, and live ops performance.
Support optimization of game economy and monetization strategies.
Experimentation & Decision Support
Design and analyze A/B tests and experiments for new features and live ops.
Define success metrics and interpret results accurately.
Deliver clear recommendations backed by data.
Insight Communication & Collaboration
Present insights to Game Directors, Product Managers, and stakeholders.
Build clear data narratives: what happened, why, and what to do next.
Act as a trusted analytics partner in cross-functional discussions.
Analytics Quality & Mentorship
Ensure analysis accuracy and relevance.
Mentor junior analysts in game metrics and analytical thinking.
Contribute to analytics frameworks and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience
5+ years in game analytics or product analytics (mobile or live-service games preferred).
Hands-on experience analyzing player behavior, retention, and monetization.
Experience supporting data-driven product decisions.
Technical & Analytical Skills
Strong SQL proficiency.
Experience with BI tools and data visualization.
Solid understanding of cohort analysis, funnels, and experimentation.
Familiarity with game KPIs and metrics.
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking.
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
Comfortable in fast-paced game development environments.
