About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Officer to lead and mature our enterprise security operations. This role combines hands-on technical execution with strategic oversight, driving security monitoring, incident response, automation, and AI-enabled threat detection across all environments. The ideal candidate is a proactive defender who thrives on optimizing controls, building visibility, and leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead of evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage enterprise Security Operations by monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, and coordinating response activities across all environments.
- Configure, fine-tune, and optimize security policies, detection rules, and security controls to align with industry best practices.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage new cybersecurity solutions, including deployment, configuration, and ongoing rule optimization.
- Develop centralized security dashboards, reports, and risk metrics to provide comprehensive visibility into the organization's security posture.
- Automate security operations, workflows, and repetitive tasks using AI and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Leverage AI-driven analytics to identify emerging risks, uncover hidden security gaps, and proactively strengthen the organization's security posture.
- Work with internal teams as a verifier and implementation partner, responding to requests on both weekdays and weekends as operational needs require.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in cyber security operations, incident response, or SOC environments.
- Strong expertise with SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and firewall technologies.
- Proven experience configuring detection rules, security policies, and controls aligned to frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Hands-on experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Solid understanding of threat modeling, vulnerability management, and risk assessment.
