RotoMetrics is a specialist manufacturer of precision tooling with a global presence including worldwide manufacturing sites. We are Seeking a detail-oriented Senior Systems Business Analyst. This position is responsible for working with business users to create and develop functional requirements of systems to improve quality, performance, interfaces, and constraints. The Senior Systems Business Analyst will oversee the execution and implementation of project plans in partnership with business leadership.
key responsibilities:
- Carry out analysis of requirements by checking for derived requirements that are logical to the customers requests.
- Define data structures, automated workflows, and work closely with application programmers to deliver software solutions.
- Gathering user requirements, process analysis, gap analysis, design of new functionality, product testing, project specifications and develop timelines.
- Work closely with manufacturing, operations and customer service divisions and functional teams to ensure needs are understood, solution specifications defined and requirements are communicated to technical team members.Document system issues, define solution specifications and work closely with members of technical team.
- Coordinate, run, and report to management on the efforts of multiple simultaneous project teams.
- Participate in project walkthroughs, business requirements gathering, design walkthroughs, functional test plans and implementation sessions.
- Work closely with developers, database administrators, management and business owners to ensure success of projects.
- Develop periodic project progress reports.
- Other duties as assigned to meet departmental and company objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Technical Proficiencies:
- Experience with Data Structures, data modeling and relational database solutions.
- Experience with global tools for data warehouse and CRM.
- Experience with multi-facility global MRP/ERP solutions. Oracle and/or Epicor experience preferred.
- Experience designing e-Commerce data flow specifications and solutions.
- Technical Writing Experience
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion. Ability to work independently, distribute work to team members and manage multiple priorities/deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills are needed to effectively collaborate and communicate with team members, business users, database administrators, project leaders, developers and managers.
- Self-motivation to accomplish assigned objectives and pursue options that will benefit the company.
- Capability to grasp big picture down to minute details of systems/software.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in system solution design or related field plus 10 years of IT or business/industry work experience; or equivalent combination of industry related professional experience and education
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis
