Livwell is building the future of insurance and wellness in emerging markets. Our products — OneHealth (B2B insurance platform for employers and employees) and Livwell Life (D2C life insurance) — serve hundreds of thousands of users navigating health coverage, claims, wellness rewards, and teleconsultation. We're a small, fast-moving team where your code directly impacts whether someone can buy a policy, file a claim, or book a health check from their phone.
What you'll do
- Own the iOS app end-to-end — architecture, feature development, performance, App Store releases, and crash-free rate
- Build and ship production-grade features across our insurance and wellness workflows: onboarding, KYC/AML, health assessments, policy purchase, claims submission, teleconsultation, activity-based rewards, and payment integrations
- Design scalable, maintainable architecture — establish patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, modular feature modules) that the team can follow as we grow
- Integrate third-party SDKs and APIs — payment gateways, teleconsultation partners, health data providers, identity verification, and analytics platforms
- Leverage HealthKit and sensor data to power activity tracking, habit formation, and wellness reward mechanics
- Drive performance and quality — instrument crash reporting (Crashlytics/Sentry), monitor ANR rates, optimize app launch time, memory, and battery usage
- Own CI/CD for iOS — fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or GitHub Actions; automated builds, test gates, and TestFlight distribution
- Code review and mentorship — raise the bar on code quality, guide junior developers, and contribute to engineering culture
- Work closely with product, design, backend, and QA to ship features end-to-end — from technical spec → build → release → monitor → iterate
- Contribute to technical decision-making — framework choices, migration strategies (UIKit → SwiftUI), minimum deployment target, and third-party dependency evaluation.
What we're looking for
- 5–7 years of iOS development experience with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Deep fluency in Swift and solid understanding of SwiftUI and UIKit — including knowing when to use each
- Strong grasp of iOS architecture patterns — MVVM, delegation, Combine/async-await, protocol-oriented programming
- Experience shipping and maintaining at least one production app with meaningful scale (100K+ users or App Store rating 4.0+)
- Hands-on experience with HealthKit, CoreMotion, or fitness/wellness APIs
- Experience integrating payment SDKs (Stripe, Razorpay, or similar) and identity verification flows
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, WebSocket, and offline-first patterns — caching, sync, and graceful degradation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for iOS — fastlane, GitHub Actions, or Xcode Cloud
- Comfortable with App Store Connect — provisioning, signing, TestFlight, review process, and phased rollout
- Strong communication in English — written and verbal; ability to articulate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
- Pragmatic and opinionated — you care about shipping, not gold-plating
Nice to have
- Experience in insurance, fintech, health tech, or e-commerce domain
- Familiarity with GraphQL alongside REST
- Experience with modular app architecture (Tuist, Swift Package Manager, or similar)
- Exposure to Android development (Kotlin/Compose) — cross-platform empathy
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup (Seed to Series B)
- Open-source contributions or technical writing (blog, talks, conference)
