Senior/Lead AI Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Engineer to drive the development, deployment, and optimization of AI/ML solutions across our organization. This role requires a unique blend of technical hands-on expertise, architectural vision, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is someone who can design complex AI systems, guide engineers, and contribute directly to coding, model training, and productionization.

Qualifications Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

Lead end-to-end design and implementation of AI/ML systems, including data pipelines, model development, evaluation, and deployment.

Architect scalable, production-grade machine learning systems using best-in-class tools and frameworks.

Provide guidance on model selection, optimization techniques, and MLOps best practices.

Conduct code reviews and establish engineering standards for the AI team.

Hands-On Engineering

Build and train machine learning models, including deep learning, NLP, computer vision, or generative AI applications.

Develop robust data processing workflows and feature engineering pipelines.

Deploy models into production using CI/CD, containerization, and cloud-based ML platforms.

Investigate new AI techniques, evaluate their applicability, and drive innovation through prototyping.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Mentor and lead a team of AI/ML engineers, providing coaching, prioritization, and technical direction.

Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Data Engineering, Product, Cloud Engineering, Business stakeholders) to align AI solutions with business goals.

Translate complex AI concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Oversee project workflows, sprint planning, and technical roadmaps.

Strategic Contribution

Identify opportunities for AI adoption and automation within the organization.

Contribute to the long-term AI strategy, including governance, model lifecycle management, and scalability considerations.

Ensure ethical, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies.

Required Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related field. (PhD is a plus.)

7+ years of experience in software engineering or AI/ML engineering.

Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data modeling.

Hands-on experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Databricks, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes).

Practical experience designing and deploying AI agent frameworks, multi-agent systems, or agentic AI workflows.

Familiarity with agent orchestration tools such as LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or custom agent frameworks.

Strong understanding of reinforcement learning, tool-use reasoning, and planning algorithms for agentic AI.

Experience deploying models to production using cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Preferred Skills

Experience with LLM integration, fine-tuning, RAG, vector databases, or AI agents.

Knowledge of cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Familiarity with responsible AI principles and model governance.

Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Proficient in Thai (reading, writing, and speaking) with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

Location: Full-Time, Hybrid in Bangkok, Thailand
