- Experienced in phase-field, molecular dynamics, Nonlinear FEM, crystal plasticity and microstructure modeling (grain, sub-grain and CALPHAD) techniques and data analysis methods.
- Experienced in different tools like AdditiveFOAM , Ansys/ABAQUS, MATLAB, DAMASK, ThermoCalc. Experience with tools like MicroSim and ExaCA are an added advantage .
- Strong expertise in working in Windows and Linux environments and proficient with writing scripts in Python, Java, C/C++ and bash.
- Experience in working with data visualization tools like Paraview
- Knowledgeable on crystal structure, mechanical behavior of metals and strong understanding of and working experience with metal additive manufacturing processes such as Laser bed Powder Fusion (LBPF).
- Critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Analyze, monitor and improve efficiency, stability of the system
- Interact with US counterparts for close coordination of the project activities.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead/Sr. Lead Engineer/ Principal Engineer -Research
- Understanding of the customer requirements and specifications.
- Working closely with the other engineer, SME and other stake holders to develop the model
- Technical and business proposal preparation for advance methods development
- Technical mentoring and coaching of engineers
- Participating in internal CoP and external professional bodies
- Deliver the results within cost and schedule with quality
- Support creating Standard Works, Lessons Learnt documents, Standard Job Instructions and Check lists
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Materials Engineering with research focus on modelling and simulation using ICME techniques.
- Bachelors degree in Materials Engineering with a minimum experience of 7 years or Master s in Materials Engineering with a minimum experience of 5 years and thesis focused on computational modeling and simulation.
