Senior Lecturer

Role Description The Senior Lecturer role at Mahidol University is a part-time, hybrid position based in Bangkok City, Thailand, with some flexibility for work from home. The Senior Lecturer will design, deliver, and update course curricula, teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate students, and facilitate seminars, workshops, and tutorials. Daily responsibilities include preparing learning materials, assessing student performance, providing academic advising, and maintaining accurate records of grades and attendance. The role also involves contributing to research or scholarly activities, collaborating with colleagues on program development, and participating in departmental meetings and quality assurance processes. The Senior Lecturer is expected to uphold academic standards, support inclusive learning practices, and contribute to the university's reputation for excellence in education.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in the relevant academic discipline, with the ability to design and deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and assessments.
• Strong skills in curriculum development, learning material preparation, and the use of educational technologies and learning management systems.
• Ability to support and mentor students, provide constructive feedback, and foster an inclusive, engaging classroom environment.
• Experience with academic research or scholarly work, including the ability to contribute to publications, conferences, or applied projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and work in a multicultural setting.
• Proficiency in English; Thai language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
• Master's degree in a relevant field required; a doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• Prior higher-education teaching experience and familiarity with hybrid and online teaching formats are strongly beneficial.
