About the Role
This role leads claim transformation and optimization initiatives to enhance end-to-end claim processes, operational efficiency, and customer experience. You will drive data-driven improvements, collaborate across functions, and ensure successful delivery of claim-related projects and system enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead claim transformation initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, service quality, turnaround time, and cost effectiveness
- Review, analyze, and redesign claim workflows by identifying gaps, pain points, manual activities, and control weaknesses
- Drive process improvements including simplification, standardization, automation, and digitalization
- Collaborate with business owners, IT, operations, healthcare services, compliance, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Oversee claim-related projects, including requirement validation, UAT planning, testing, issue tracking, and post-implementation review
- Monitor claim performance through dashboards, reports, and trend analysis to support decision-making
- Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including SOPs, controls, and monitoring mechanisms
- Analyze claim data, operational performance, and feedback to support data-driven decision-making
- Support strategic initiatives such as cost containment, fraud prevention, healthcare integration, and digital claim services
- Lead change management to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems
- Provide insights, recommendations, and implementation plans to support claim strategy formulation
- Manage ad-hoc assignments and special projects as assigned
Qualifications / Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Minimum 5 years of experience in process improvement, data analytics, claims, or insurance operations
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset
- Ability to work under pressure with a strong service mindset
- Fair proficiency in English
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Pivot tables, PowerPoint, and data visualization
Managerial & Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Claim Transformation and Optimization function, including planning, prioritization, and execution
- Supervise, coach, and develop team members in process improvement, project management, data analysis, and stakeholder management
- Set team objectives and performance expectations aligned with organizational goals
- Review and approve key deliverables such as business requirements, UAT results, process flows, dashboards, and recommendations
- Provide guidance on project priorities, issue escalation, and implementation approaches
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and service excellence
- Align transformation priorities with senior management and cross-functional leaders
- Monitor team performance and project progress to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes
