Position Overview
The Senior Manager Corporate Strategy will lead the formulation, alignment, execution, and monitoring of the company's corporate strategy to achieve sustainable growth and long-term shareholder value. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in FMCG and experience working in publicly listed companies. The incumbent will drive cross-functional collaboration, lead strategic workshops, and ensure organizational alignment with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the development and refinement of the company's corporate strategy in alignment with the CEO and Board's vision.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and performance metrics.
- Oversee execution and progress of strategic initiatives across business units.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and business risks.
2. Strategic Alignment & Workshops
- Design and facilitate strategic alignment workshops to engage leadership teams and ensure clarity of goals.
- Drive organization-wide communication and understanding of strategic priorities.
- Serve as a key advisor to the CEO in strategic decision-making and change management.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track the implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Prepare periodic strategic performance reports and present updates to the CEO and Board.
- Evaluate business performance and recommend corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
4. Cross-functional Leadership & Team Building
- Lead and develop a high-performing Corporate Strategy team to support analytical and strategic projects.
- Promote collaboration between departments to drive execution excellence.
- Build organizational capabilities in strategic thinking and performance management.
5. Corporate Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Support investor relations and Board reporting by providing strategic insights and analysis.
- Ensure alignment between business strategy and corporate governance standards, especially for public company compliance.
- Collaborate with finance, marketing, operations, and HR on integrated strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1015 years of experience in corporate strategy, business planning, or management consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Industry Background: Strong experience in the FMCG sector; experience in a publicly listed company is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of leading strategic initiatives, organizational alignment, and performance monitoring.
- Experience in team leadership, coaching, and capability building.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
