Senior Manager/ Director, Business Development (Thailand)

Role Purpose

We are looking for a high-velocity Sales Hunter to drive the adoption of Univers advanced software suite. Your mission is to displace legacy systems and manual processes with our cutting-edge AI-driven Grid and Asset management solutions. You will focus on the full lifecycle of renewable energy assets—from grid compliance (PPC) to revenue maximization (Forecast & Optimization).

Key Responsibilities

  • Targeted Hunting: Originate and close high-value software contracts with IPP Developers and EPCs, moving beyond hardware-centric sales to a Software-Defined Energy approach.
  • Solution Positioning: Articulate the value of:
  • Power Plant Control (PPC) & Hybrid Control: Managing complex multi-source assets (Solar + Wind + BESS).
  • Advanced Forecasting: Using AI to minimize imbalance charges and improve grid reliability.
  • Market Optimization: Strategy for merchant-tailored bidding and asset health.
  • C-Suite Advisory: Act as a strategic consultant for regional energy leaders, showing how digital twins and AI-grids reduce LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy).
  • Ecosystem Leverage: Partner with OEMs and Tier-1 EPCs in the TH/PH/VN regions to embed Univers software into their project delivery phase.

Requirements:

  • The Hunter DNA: Proven track record of exceeding quotas in new business acquisition. You don't just manage accounts; you break them open.
  • Domain Expertise: 10+ years in the Renewable/Power sector with a deep understanding of Grid Connection or Behind Meter user scenarios and the operational challenges of Hybrid assets where can fit into the right Univers solution.
  • Software Specialization: Specific experience know how to prompt value to customer directly, or prompt value to partners through indirect channel, including but not limited :
  • PPC (Power Plant Controllers) and Scada systems.
  • Hybrid Control Logic (e.g., integrating BESS with intermittent renewables), for large portfolio assets management
  • Forecast & Optimization software (Weather-based yield prediction & AI-driven dispatch).
  • Regional Rolodex: Immediate access to decision-makers at IPPs (e.g., Gulf, B.Grimm, ACEN, Aboitiz) and major regional EPCs.
  • Technical Consultative Selling: Ability to hold high-level technical discussions on AI Grid integration and Microgrid optimization without relying solely on pre-sales.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the regulatory landscapes and Grid Pains in Thailand, Philippines, and Vietnam.
  • Agility: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you lead the charge in defining the Smart New Grid category.
