About the Role
Responsible for the technical integrity and excellence of Product Development and Engineering within MSA. This role focuses on leading the design team to complete BDR & RFQ tasks using appropriate Mubea design technology. The manager ensures all engineering activities—including design, validation, prototyping, and industrialization—are performed to high standards, while providing technical coaching and evaluation for the design staff.

Responsibilities
- Engineering Leadership: Lead the design team in technical product development and engineering tasks.
- Design Feasibility: Review and check the feasibility of design and product concepts.
- Technical Documentation: Establish and maintain the Laufkarte for each product and define tooling concepts.
- Data Integrity: Ensure all engineering data records, technical drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) for part numbers are current and accurate.
- Validation & Quality: Establish Design-FMEA and Design Verification Plans (DVP); oversee mass production release by closing all required DV tests.
- Technical Industrialization: Support process parameter definitions, gauge design, and industrial process control definition.
- Engineering Change: Actively support the operations team for VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) and ECR (Engineering Change Request) activities.
- Competitive Analysis: Support technical benchmarking and competition analysis to keep MSA at the forefront of automotive design.
- Compliance: Maintain function-related quality management systems in alignment with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Product Design, Mechanical, Automotive, Material, Metallurgical, or Industrial Engineering).
Required Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the automotive industry and engineering and minimum 3 years in management level.
- Expertise in product design software and automotive engineering standards.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong command of Standard Engineering Software, minimum design programs, and SAP.
- Strong engineering-related experience and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.
