Position: Senior Manager – Factory Planning & Logistics

Position Reports to: Director – Manufacturing (TBC)

Department: Operations

Location: Surat Thani, Thailand

General Summary of Role:

Our manufacturing plant in Surat Thani plays a crucial role in supporting our operations, and we are looking for a skilled professional to oversee factory planning and logistics.

The Factory Planning and Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production planning, materials management, and logistics within the manufacturing facility.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can optimize production schedules, enhance supply chain processes, and ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning: Develop and implement effective production plans and schedules to ensure optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery of products.

  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to manage inventory levels, procurement processes, and logistics operations to ensure the smooth flow of materials.

  • Team Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of planning and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of production and logistics activities and prepare regular reports for management on progress and improvements.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Production, and Sales, to align planning and logistics efforts with overall business objectives.

  • Compliance: Ensure that all planning and logistics activities comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, logistics management, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • APICS or ASCM certifications are highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and logistics operations.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using planning software and ERP systems; experience with Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English and Thai is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
