Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The role reports operationally to the Country Manager and works closely with the regional finance (and logistics) team to ensure alignment with corporate finance policies, reporting timelines, and internal control requirements.
This role is responsible for ensuring business and reporting compliance, delivering accurate and timely monthly reporting to country management and the regional finance team, developing financial reporting that supports business decisions, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and strengthening internal control policies and procedures. The role also contributes to financial planning and related activities that help the organization meet its financial objectives.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

FINANCE

•    Partner with the Country Manager, Business Unit Manager, and other team members to manage and develop business financial KPIs.
•    Provide financial analysis and advice on profit-maximizing recommendations, including developing the strategic business plan and annual business plan together with the Country Manager.
•    Prepare and submit yearly and monthly P&L and cash flow forecasts to corporate finance.
•    Provide actual cost reporting for Business Units, and track budget and forecast performance against actual results to support achievement of company objectives.
•    Consolidate, analyse, interpret and prepare financial reports for company management decision-making.
•    Review and manage contracts and agreements to maximize company benefits and identify cost-saving opportunities.
•    Responsible for monthly and annual reporting in accordance with corporate policies and requirements, as well as local GAAP and IFRS.
•    Ensure healthy working capital by managing Accounts Receivables/Payables and stock purchases. 
•    In charge of payroll processing and payroll related statutory submissions to authority. 
•    Handle all local statutory reporting and tax filings including corporate income tax, VAT and WHT.
•    Apply and monitor tax allowances and incentives to ensure optimization of tax expenses.
•    Collaborate with external tax consultant and auditor for annual statutory audit and returns.
•    Collaborate with external legal consultant on any legal matters required by the Company.
•    Manage bank guarantees to support the business.
•    Work with banks for all business-related banking requirements.
•    Always implement and ensure compliance of company standard operating procedures.
•    Guide and advise team members on company policy, processes, and ensure compliance to Group Financial Guidelines and Directives, tax, audit and other regulatory requirements.

 

 LOGISTICS
•    Manage the logistics teams reporting and oversee the logistics operational work— ensuring good support to the business operations. 
•    Optimize inventory level and reduce wastage by actively managing short expiry products and keeping scrap costs to a minimal. 
•    Ensure customer billings and consignment billings are done on time and filed in a timely manner. 

 

LEADERSHIP/TEAM MANAGEMENT
•    Supervises the team and review critical submissions. 
•    Leads, motivates and develops the local finance and logistics team on their skills, knowledge and competencies. Coach them to form a high performing team.
•    Initiates projects to improve efficiency and productivity

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

•    Relevant bachelor's degree in accountancy or equivalent professional certification
•    Member of Chartered Accountant is preferred
•    Minimum 10 years of commercial accounting work experience
•    Knowledge of the IFRS, accounting and taxation legislations and practices.
•    Comprehensive in PC skills/ IT literacy skills in particular, MS Excel
•    Strong written and verbal skills in Thai and English language 
•    Experience in leading a team
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
•    Positive attitude 
•    Having experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is an added advantage
