Position Overview
The Senior Manager, Global Sourcing – Key Account is responsible for leading the Global Sourcing Key Account team and driving the growth of internationally sourced products across CP AXTRA's business channels.
This role provides clear direction to the team, manages strategic international suppliers, and oversees the complete sourcing process—from supplier development and commercial negotiation to product launch, sales growth, and inventory performance.
The successful candidate must be a strong people leader who can build team capability, establish effective working processes, and ensure disciplined execution across multiple suppliers and projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership and Performance Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the Global Sourcing Key Account team.
- Set clear team objectives, individual KPIs, priorities, and account responsibilities.
- Regularly review team performance, project progress, and key business results.
- Build team capabilities in supplier management, negotiation, commercial analysis, and project execution.
- Establish standardized working processes, reporting formats, and follow-up routines.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and timely escalation.
- Support succession planning and develop high-potential team members for future leadership roles.
2. Strategic Supplier and Key Account Management
- Lead relationships with major international manufacturers, brand owners, trading companies, and CP Group affiliates.
- Develop joint business plans covering assortment, pricing, sales targets, supply capacity, and growth opportunities.
- Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, payment terms, minimum order quantities, incoterms, rebates, and promotional support.
- Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and resolve major commercial, supply, documentation, and quality issues.
- Identify opportunities to expand strategic partnerships and create synergies across CP Group businesses.
3. Supplier and Product Development
- Guide the team in identifying and evaluating new international suppliers and products.
- Develop branded, exclusive, direct-import, and private-label opportunities across relevant categories.
- Ensure that new sourcing opportunities meet CP AXTRA's requirements for price, quality, margin, supply capability, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain a strong new-product pipeline and ensure projects progress according to the agreed timeline.
- Participate in supplier visits, factory assessments, trade fairs, and international sourcing activities when required.
4. Product Launch and Cross-Functional Execution
- Oversee the end-to-end product launch process, including product selection, costing, registration, packaging, purchase orders, shipment, and store launch.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Import, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams.
- Ensure suppliers provide complete and accurate documents required for registration and importation.
- Identify project risks, remove execution barriers, and escalate critical issues with clear solutions.
- Ensure new products are launched on time and achieve agreed commercial objectives.
5. Sales and Inventory Performance
- Own the overall performance of assigned suppliers and product portfolios.
- Monitor sales, margin, stock availability, out-of-stock, overstock, inventory aging, and forecast accuracy.
- Review weekly and monthly performance with the team and establish corrective action plans.
- Coordinate sales forecasts, purchase plans, shipment schedules, and promotional activities.
- Improve sales contribution, inventory turnover, product availability, and return on working capital.
- Present key business updates, risks, and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 8–10 years of experience in global sourcing, international sourcing, overseas procurement, or key account management from FMCG, or retail.
- At least 3–5 years of experience leading and developing a team.
- Proven experience in international supplier management and commercial negotiation.
- Good understanding of imported-product development, registration, logistics, and supply-chain processes.
- Strong commercial, analytical, project-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple teams, suppliers, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and senior stakeholder-management skills.
Language Requirements:
- Strong command of spoken in Thai, and written English is required.
- Chinese, Korean, Japanese, or another international language would be an advantage.
