Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Learning & Curriculum Operations to lead the design, localization, and ongoing optimization of our curriculum portfolio for the Thai market. This is a strategic leadership role that sits at the intersection of pedagogy, data, and commercial performance. You will report directly to the Country Head and will be accountable for both curriculum quality and operational effectiveness of our learning delivery function.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Design & Localization

  • Lead end-to-end curriculum localization strategy for Thai learners across English and Chinese language programmes, ensuring cultural relevance and pedagogical rigor.
  • Establish and own curriculum frameworks, scope-and-sequence documentation, and learning outcome benchmarks across all age bands and proficiency levels.
  • Quantify and report on curriculum effectiveness — including completion rates, lesson-level engagement metrics, and learner progression data — and drive iteration cycles based on findings.
  • Partner with regional product and content teams to adapt global curriculum assets for the local context, with documented improvement targets for each localization cycle.

Student Retention & Learning Operations

  • Own the full student lifecycle from onboarding through renewal — defining the operational touchpoints, intervention triggers, and escalation protocols that drive retention.
  • Set and track KPIs for student retention and course completion; present monthly performance dashboards to the Country Head and regional leadership.
  • Identify at-risk cohorts using learning data and proactively design re-engagement programmes, measuring uplift against baseline retention benchmarks.
  • Benchmark and report on retention performance relative to industry standards; clearly articulate what good looks like based on your prior experience in comparable platforms.

Pricing & Programme Strategy

  • Collaborate with the Country Head on course packaging, pricing architecture, and upsell/cross-sell strategy across the curriculum portfolio.
  • Provide data-informed input into promotional pricing decisions, with reference to competitive positioning and observed price elasticity from your direct experience.
  • Analyse the revenue impact of curriculum changes — new course launches, pricing adjustments, and bundle restructuring — and present findings with actionable recommendations.

Teacher & Quality Operations

  • Oversee teacher alignment to curriculum standards, including onboarding, quality calibration, and ongoing coaching frameworks.
  • Design and implement quality assurance processes for lesson delivery, with measurable output targets and a continuous improvement cadence.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead a team of 5–12 curriculum specialists, learning operations coordinators, and QA staff; set clear goals, develop talent, and maintain a high-performance team culture.
  • Serve as the internal subject-matter expert on curriculum and learning operations, representing the function in leadership forums and external partnerships.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in curriculum operations, learning design, or education programme management within an online or technology-enabled education platform.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning student retention metrics — ideally with specific, quantifiable outcomes you have driven (e.g., improved monthly retention rate, reduced churn in a defined cohort).
  • Hands-on experience with curriculum localization for Southeast Asian markets, with particular familiarity with Thai learner profiles and/or bilingual Chinese-English programme design.
  • Prior involvement in pricing decisions or packaging strategy for education products, including an understanding of how curriculum design influences perceived value and purchase behaviour.
