Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Manager – Procurement to lead strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, procurement governance, and spend optimization across key technology and business categories.

This role will own vendor relationships across cloud, SaaS, telecom, hardware, and professional services, and will work closely with Business teams, Business Finance, Controllership, Legal, IT, and leadership to ensure commercially sound, audit-ready, and well-governed procurement decisions.

The ideal candidate should bring strong experience in managing high-value contracts, cloud and SaaS procurement, cost optimization, procurement MIS, stakeholder management, and contract lifecycle governance. This is a hands-on role that requires commercial sharpness, structured execution, strong follow-through, and the ability to build scalable procurement processes in a fast-paced environment.

What will you own

1/ Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:

  • Own vendor relationships across cloud, SaaS, telecom, hardware, and professional services.
  • Manage relationships with key vendors including AWS, Azure, GCP, Linode, NetSuite, Salesforce, Workday, GitHub, Datadog, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Lead vendor evaluation, commercial discussions, renewals, escalations, and relationship governance.
  • Monitor vendor financial health and proactively flag concentration, dependency, or lock-in risks.

2/ Contract Negotiation & Cost Optimization

  • Lead high-value contract negotiations from RFP to signature.
  • Identify and capture cost levers through competitive benchmarking, volume discounts, bundling, usage optimization, and commercial terms improvement.
  • Drive measurable cost savings through structured negotiation and disciplined commercial review.
  • Support renewal negotiations with data-backed recommendations and clear business cases.

3/ Financial Analysis & Business Case Preparation

  • Run TCO analyses to support build vs. buy decisions and procurement recommendations.
  • Prepare ROI models, scenario analyses, and commercial comparisons to aid decision-making.
  • Prepare clear, factual, and decision-ready approval notes and business cases for executive sign-off.
  • Partner with Business Finance and Controllership to align on budgets, accruals, commitments, and spend governance.

4/ Procurement MIS, Governance & Process Discipline

  • Build and maintain procurement MIS, including spend dashboards, savings trackers, SLA reports, and renewal calendars.
  • Share regular procurement updates with Finance and leadership.
  • Own the procurement action tracker, ensuring every active negotiation, approval, escalation, and contract review is logged and progressing as per SLA.
  • Build and enforce standard workflows including intake checklists, renewal tracking, parallel-action discipline, and PO/contract closure definitions.

5/ Compliance, Controls & Documentation

  • Maintain audit-ready documentation across all contracts and procurement actions.
  • Ensure internal controls, approval processes, documentation standards, and audit trails are consistently followed.
  • Support internal audits by providing accurate documentation, process clarity, and evidence of compliance.
  • Review contracts from a commercial lens and identify clauses, risks, or gaps that require Legal review.

6/ Stakeholder Management & Team Enablement

  • Work closely with Business teams, Business Finance, Controllership, Legal, IT, and leadership to drive procurement decisions.
  • Ensure procurement actions are closed on time with strong follow-through and minimal chasing.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Build procurement playbooks, contracting templates, and repeatable process frameworks.

What are we looking for

  • 8–10 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or strategic sourcing, with meaningful exposure to high-value contracts.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud vendor such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Linode.
  • Strong understanding of cloud pricing models, cost allocation, commercial management, and vendor governance.
  • Experience procuring complex hardware and enterprise SaaS platforms such as ERPs, CRMs, developer tools, security platforms, and business applications.
  • Proven track record of delivering cost savings through negotiation, benchmarking, and commercial discipline.
  • Ability to build procurement MIS and reporting from scratch, including spend dashboards, SLA trackers, renewal calendars, and executive summaries.
  • Experience in audit management, internal controls, documentation standards, and audit trail discipline.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, including TCO, ROI, scenario planning, and commercial comparisons using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Comfortable reviewing contracts and identifying commercial risks, with the judgment to know when to involve Legal.
  • Strong partnership orientation with Business Finance and Controllership across budgets, accruals, commitments, and governance.
  • High ownership and follow-through discipline, with the ability to ensure SLAs are respected and actions are closed without repeated follow-ups
  • Experience in media, technology, SaaS, or product-led companies.
  • FinOps or cloud cost optimization experience.
  • Telecom or CDN vendor management experience.
  • MBA, Finance/Engineering degree, or procurement certification such as APICS or CPPO.
  • Familiarity with procurement tools such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or NetSuite.
