About the Role
At Pocket FM, technology is our biggest investment. Every engineering tool, cloud partnership, SaaS platform, AI infrastructure, and product vendor directly impacts how fast we build and scale.
We're looking for a Senior Manager who will own the commercial side of our technology ecosystem. This role will entail building commercial rigor across technology spend—driving negotiations, owning contract lifecycle management, enabling faster decision-making, improving governance, and continuously finding opportunities to optimize costs without compromising business velocity.
What will you do
- Own the end-to-end commercial lifecycle for all technology and product-related vendors, including SaaS platforms, cloud infrastructure, engineering tools, AI vendors, APIs, data providers, and enterprise software
- Lead commercial negotiations with global technology vendors to secure the best pricing, payment structures, contractual terms, and long-term value for the business
- Partner closely with Engineering, Product, IT, Security and Legal to drive commercial decision-making across strategic technology investments
- Build commercial governance across technology procurement, ensuring compliance with internal policies while maintaining speed and business agility
- Own contract lifecycle management, from commercial evaluation and approvals to renewals, amendments, and vendor exits
- Drive cost optimization initiatives by identifying consolidation opportunities, improving license utilization, benchmarking vendor pricing, and reducing commercial leakage.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track technology spend, renewals, commitments, budget utilization, vendor performance, and commercial KPIs
- Own ERP workflows (Oracle NetSuite preferred) to ensure seamless procurement operations, purchase order management, and financial controls
Who do we want
- 5-8 years of experience managing commercials for technology procurement, strategic sourcing, or commercial finance
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing contracts across SaaS, cloud infrastructure, enterprise software, APIs, engineering tools, and technology service providers
- Strong understanding of commercial constructs including pricing models, licensing, renewals, payment terms, and vendor governance
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite (preferred) or similar ERP systems, along with strong Excel skills for commercial analysis and reporting
- Someone who can independently build commercial processes, drive automation, and create governance frameworks in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong forecasting and financial modeling skills, with the ability to build long-term spend planning and budget forecasting frameworks across the technology portfolio
- A sharp negotiator with genuinely strong sales instincts, someone who can read a deal, hold their ground, and extract maximum value in high-stakes vendor conversations, not just process paperwork
