About Teams & Roles
As QA Engineering & Release Operations Senior Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for DATAx's Quality Engineering and Release Operations functions.
You will define and execute the organization's quality, release, automation, and AI transformation strategy, ensuring scalable operating models, strong governance, and measurable improvements in delivery performance across DATAx platforms and products.
This role partners closely with Engineering, Product, Data, Architecture, and Technology leadership teams to build future-ready quality and release capabilities that support business growth, operational excellence, and organizational scalability.
Your Responsibility
Strategy, Governance & Transformation
- Define and execute the QA Engineering and Release Operations strategy aligned with DATAx business and technology objectives.
- Establish organizational quality standards, governance frameworks, release controls, and operating models.
- Drive automation-first and AI-enabled transformation initiatives to improve quality, productivity, delivery speed, and operational efficiency.
- Build and mature future capabilities in Quality Engineering, Release Engineering, Automation Governance & Release (AGR), and AI-driven quality practices.
Quality, Release & Operational Excellence
- Govern quality assurance, testing practices, release readiness, and change management across DATAx platforms and services.
- Ensure effective quality gates, risk management practices, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee organizational quality and release performance, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Metrics, Insights & Executive Reporting
- Define and own QA and Release KPIs, quality intelligence, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Utilize quality and operational metrics to identify risks, improve predictability, and support data-driven decision making.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leadership based on delivery, quality, and release performance trends.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead QA and Release Engineering managers, team leads, and teams across in-house and outsourced resources.
- Drive workforce planning, succession planning, capability development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee resource strategy, vendor governance, capacity planning, and budget management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and engineering excellence.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, Architecture, DevOps, and Business leaders to align quality and release objectives with organizational priorities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on quality, release, risk, automation, and operational excellence matters.
- Champion the adoption of automation, AI, and emerging technologies to support business outcomes and long-term scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA, Release Engineering, or related technology delivery disciplines.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience managing QA, Quality Engineering, Release Engineering, or technology delivery teams.
- Proven ownership of quality, release, or delivery outcomes at program, portfolio, or organizational level.
- Strong experience in quality strategy, governance, delivery assurance, risk management, and operational excellence.
- Experience leading automation, AI, digital transformation, or process improvement initiatives with measurable business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of modern quality engineering practices, release governance, and software delivery lifecycle.
- Experience managing organizational budgets, workforce planning, vendor relationships, and capability development.
- Experience with data platforms, cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and AI-enabled solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries is preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking, executive communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
