What you'll do:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Motor Control Engineer with a strong emphasis on hardware design and development, and a solid understanding of firmware integration. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of motor control hardware, ensuring seamless interaction with embedded firmware for advanced electronic products.

In detail, you will:

  • Lead the design and development of motor control hardware, including power electronics (inverters, drivers, protection circuits), interface circuitry, and sensor integration.
  • Select and evaluate components (IGBTs, MOSFETs, gate drivers, current/position sensors, etc.) for optimal motor control performance.
  • Design and review schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware documentation.
  • Conduct hardware validation, testing, and troubleshooting using lab equipment (oscilloscope, power analyzer, etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with firmware engineers to define hardware/firmware interfaces and ensure system-level functionality.
  • Analyze and optimize thermal management, EMC/EMI, and safety aspects of motor control hardware.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in hardware design and system integration best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in motor control hardware, power electronics, and embedded systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in motor control hardware design and development
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, motor drivers, and control hardware for BLDC, PMSM, ACIM, or similar motors
  • Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and hardware debugging
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink) for hardware design and validation
  • Familiarity with safety, EMC/EMI, and regulatory standards
  • Good understanding of embedded firmware for motor control (C/C++), including how hardware and firmware interact
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Proven track record of leading hardware projects or teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with high-voltage and high-current motor control systems
  • Knowledge of thermal management and protection circuit design
  • Familiarity with automotive or industrial hardware standards
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
  • Scripting or automation skills for hardware testing (Python, LabVIEW, etc.)
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and firmware debugging
