Position Description
Senior Operations Officer will direct and oversee daily operational activities related to securities, equity, derivatives, and emerging financial products. The role demands exceptional analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and products. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to effectively manage operational teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor daily operations routine tasks for all securities, equity, derivatives and new future products
- Customer service with high quality to internal and external customers in Operations scope
- Support post-execution processes for equities transactions of foreign and domestic institutional investor-clients, including trade allocation and booking, trade confirmation, trade matching, broker self-clearing settlement process of both clients and market trades and trade reporting
- Proficient in handling the functionality of TCH and TSD including PSMS and PTI frameworks
- Ensure smooth client account onboarding process, including KYC and periodic reviews
- Perform and monitor daily settlement on regulator's clearing system and CLSA back office system
- Adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures by working closely with Compliance and Risk management team
- Monitor and update all new market data and client information
- Comply with CLSA group policy to avoid any unexpected risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, Finance or related field
- Minimum 10 years relevant working experience, with at least 5 years in Brokerage Securities Operations
- Self-motivated and possesses good interpersonal skills
- Good organizational skills with an ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Possesses good logical thinking
- Solid knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Applications such as Word and Excel
- Fluent in written and verbal English
- Experienced in coordinating with counterparties for pre-matching transactions on PSMS and PTI platforms
