The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Photogrammetry Specialist to lead our photogrammetry initiatives. This role is critical for advancing our 3D modeling capabilities and ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality in our building inspections. As a Senior Photogrammetry Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in refining our processes, mentoring junior team members, and driving innovation in photogrammetry techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, maintain and document photogrammetry related processes and guidelines.
- Lead the generation of precise 3D models of buildings and facades using advanced photogrammetry software such as Agisoft and ContextCapture.
- Oversee image alignment and ensure accurate reconstruction of physical spaces into digital models.
- Manage and process large datasets of photographic imagery, ensuring high-quality results.
- Collaborate closely with drone operators to optimize image capture for photogrammetric processing.
- Apply and refine manual alignment techniques and control points to enhance model accuracy.
- Develop and implement improved photogrammetry processes and workflows to increase efficiency and quality.
- Stay abreast of and integrate new photogrammetry techniques and software advancements.
- Conduct quality assurance of 3D models, ensuring they meet the company's standards and client expectations.
- Mentor and train junior photogrammetry specialists, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Computer Science; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in photogrammetry, 3D modeling, and geospatial technology.
- Proficiency with photogrammetry software such as Agisoft, ContextCapture, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Deep understanding of photography, image composition, and data processing techniques.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead and work in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
