Job Description
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Lead all plant operations, ensuring achievement of business, operational, and financial objectives.
- Develop and execute site strategy aligned with regional and global manufacturing goals.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
- Ensure delivery of production plans while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
- Lead site transformation and productivity improvement initiatives.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Champion a zero-harm culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Promote proactive safety behaviours and continuous risk reduction.
- Lead investigations, corrective actions, and long-term improvements to strengthen site safety performance.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet internal quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain robust food safety and quality management systems.
- Drive a culture where quality is embedded throughout all manufacturing processes.
Financial & Business Performance
- Own the plant's operating budget, cost performance, and productivity agenda.
- Deliver annual savings and efficiency targets while maintaining service, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage capital investment projects and support future capacity expansion plans.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators across the operation.
People Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse leadership team across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, and support functions.
- Build strong succession plans and talent pipelines.
- Drive employee engagement, capability development, and organisational effectiveness.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
Engineering & Continuous Improvement
- Oversee engineering, maintenance, reliability, and asset management activities.
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support the adoption of digital manufacturing and automation technologies.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Significant manufacturing leadership experience within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Consumer Goods, or a comparable high-volume production environment.
- Proven experience leading large manufacturing sites with full operational accountability.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, TPM, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in driving productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget and cost management responsibility.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders across regional and global functions.
- Experience leading organisational transformation, change management, and culture development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Resilient, results-driven, and capable of making sound decisions in a complex and fast-moving environment.
