Our client specialises in app-centric identity security for banks, with rapid integration (days, not months), out-of-band authentication to defeat man-in-the-middle attacks, device binding, automated app recovery, and a recovery platform that securely stores reference material in a user-controlled private cloud (encrypted), eliminating centralised honeypot selfie stores. They currently recruit a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant M/F, based in Thailand or Malaysia.
Responsabilities:
This is not a standard pre-sales role. We are looking for a First on the Ground technical leader for our client.
You will act as the technical bridge between Sales, partners, and prospects/customersowning solution discovery, technical validation, architecture, Proof of Concepts, and partner enablement. You'll be equally comfortable whiteboarding with enterprise security architects, working hands-on with SDK/API integration in mobile banking apps and the like, and presenting risk reduction and business outcomes to C-level stakeholders. Here are the main tasks of the role :
Sales Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive opportunities from discovery to close in close collaboration with the Sales team.
- Translate complex business challenges (fraud reduction, regulatory compliance, and user experience) into compelling technical value propositions tailored for CISOs and Heads of Digital.
- Represent the organization at trade fairs, exhibitions, and networking events across Southern Asia.
Solution Architecture & Delivery
- Design and map our client's capabilities to complex banking ecosystems, including IAM, CIAM, and Fraud Engines.
- Deliver reference architectures for mobile integration, step-up authentication, and recovery journeys that align with each client's specific infrastructure.
- Lead hands-on Proof of Concept from end to end (integrating SDKs into customer environments), resolving technical blockers, and translating successful PoCs into structured production rollout plans.
Payments & Regulatory Expertise
- Advise clients on applying device binding and strong authentication to payment flows in compliance with PSD2/SCA requirements.
- Ensuring robust security without compromising the end-user experience.
Payments & Regulatory Expertise
- Train and certify Systems Integrators and technology partners.
- Develop playbooks, technical guides, and enablement resources that empower partners to implement our client's solutions independently and at scale.
Product & Market Intelligence
- Act as the voice of the field by channelling structured insights, feature requests, and competitive intelligence back to the Engineering and Product teams to continuously refine and strengthen our client's roadmap.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a hybrid profile : equal parts Technical Architect and Commercial Strategist.
Domain Expertise
- Solid experience selling security and identity solutions to banks, fintechs, or regulated enterprises.
- Deep knowledge of IAM/MFA protocols (OIDC, SAML, OAuth2), CIAM patterns, mobile security (device binding, app attestation, SIM swap, MitM).
- Familiarity with payment gateways and transaction signing.
Technical Competencies
- Hands-on comfort with REST APIs and Mobile SDKs (iOS/Android).
- Ability to read code, guide developers, and troubleshoot integration issues during PoCs.
- Capable of whiteboarding complex data flows and identity architectures.
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
