About the Role
We are looking for a Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Architect (Senior - Principal level) to lead the design and evolution of our hybrid cloud platform, with AWS as our primary cloud provider. In this role, you will set technical direction, guide teams, and help the organization build secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure across on-premises systems and AWS.
You will work closely with infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams, and act as a trusted technical advisor for cloud and infrastructure decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, own, and govern the enterprise hybrid cloud architecture strategy, integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS platforms in alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain enterprise reference architectures, standards, landing zones, and reusable design patterns for scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid environments.
- Serve as the senior technical authority for infrastructure architecture, leading design reviews, architectural governance, and technology roadmaps.
- Architect AWS and hybrid infrastructure solutions, including networking, connectivity (Direct Connect, VPN, Transit Gateway), multi-account strategy, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup.
- Drive automation and platform engineering practices through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD patterns for infrastructure and shared services.
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure reliability, performance, scalability, observability, and operational resilience in partnership with Cloud, DevOps, SRE, and Operations teams.
- Embed security-by-design, compliance, and governance controls, aligning with security frameworks, regulatory standards, and FinOps best practices.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects, elevate infrastructure and cloud maturity, and influence senior stakeholders through clear architectural recommendations and trade-off analysis.
- Evaluate and guide the adoption of emerging AWS services and relevant third-party technologies for enterprise use.
Skills & Experience
- 3 - 5 years of technical experience in AWS or other public clouds with a comprehensive.
- Strong experience designing and leading hybrid cloud infrastructure, with deep AWS expertise.
- Hands-on knowledge of AWS services and enterprise-scale architectures.
- Strong knowledge of AWS multi-account strategies and landing zones.
- Solid understanding of on-premises infrastructure and how it integrates with AWS.
- Experience with networking, security, identity, and distributed systems.
- Strong background in on-premises infrastructure (VMware, storage, networking)
- Proven use of Infrastructure as Code and automation at scale.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead across teams.
Qualifications
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or Associate.
- Experience designing multi-region and globally distributed architectures.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS and container platforms in hybrid environments.
- Experience with FinOps, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
- Background in regulated or highly available enterprise environments.
