Senior Product Manager, Product Platform (Multi-Product Experiences & Subscription Metering)

1. The Role: Senior Product Manager, Product Platform

This India-based position is a critical leadership role within the Product Platform team, focusing on Multi-Product Experiences and Subscription Metering. The mission is to create elegant, scalable, and performant core experiences—such as multi-org management and global navigation—that span the entire product portfolio. Furthermore, you will own the strategic product build out for subscription metering. This is the vital bridge between product usage and subscriptions, ensuring that as our customers grow, our ability to track and show customer subscription value remains high-precision and frictionless.

1. Core Responsibilities

• Vision and Strategy: Define and champion the product vision for admin-facing platform experiences, distilling down complex feature asks and pain points into true requirements that deliver broad customer value.
• Hypothesis-Driven Development: Build compelling hypotheses and find ways to validate assumptions at low cost before committing significant engineering resources.
• Roadmap & Tradeoffs: Own the product roadmap for core cross-product initiatives (onboarding, navigation, tenant management), making the hard tradeoffs necessary to prioritize the highest-value work.
• Subscription Usage: Lead the management of subscription metering and back-office integration, ensuring high-precision usage tracking that integrates seamlessly with our financial and billing systems.
• Technical Influence: Partner closely with engineering to influence technical design and architectural decisions, ensuring the platform is built for long-term scalability and performance.
• Global Collaboration: Work with India-based development scrum teams and U.S.-based stakeholders, including ISV programs and tech partnerships, to ensure platform experiences support the broader ecosystem.
• Research & Analysis: Conduct formal market research, competitive analysis, and partner with User Research (UXR) to deeply understand customer needs and industry trends.
• Data-Driven Execution: Leverage product data to continually get smarter about how to improve existing products and drive adoption across the business.

1. Key Focus Areas

• Onboarding & Navigation: Streamlining the initial administrator journey and optimizing core interface movement to ensure a cohesive, one Okta experience.
• Platform Systems: Maintaining and evolving design systems, localization, and accessibility standards across the entire platform.
• Tenant & Subscription Management: Developing scalable tenant management architectures and implementing robust back-office integrations for high-precision subscription metering.

1. Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical & Professional Experience

• Experience: 4-5+ years of Product Management experience in enterprise scale SaaS platforms.
• Technical Foundation: A strong technical background (BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent) that allows you to rationalize and influence architectural and technical design decisions.
• Methodology: Proven experience working within agile development methodologies to deliver high-quality products.
• Execution Track Record: Demonstrated business results from products, features, or capabilities you have shipped in a platform or infrastructure context.

Soft Skills & Competencies

• Ambiguity Management: The ability to produce solid, actionable plans from incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs.
• Global Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different functions and global time zones.
• Strategic Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a thirst for learning and the ability to go deep into both business and technical contexts.

1. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), digital security, or related enterprise disciplines.
• Direct experience with billing systems, metering infrastructure, or complex back-office integrations.
• Advanced degree in a technical or business field (MBA or MS).
