Senior Production Manager (Medical Device Industry)
An established regulated medical device manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive output and quality performance, and develop frontline leadership teams. This role is suited to a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong troubleshooting capability, people-management experience and exposure to ISO 13485 / FDA-regulated production.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead overall production operations to ensure output, quality, cost and delivery targets are consistently achieved.
- Troubleshoot production, equipment and process issues, applying structured root-cause analysis to minimise downtime, cost and quality risks.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex mechanical, electrical and process-related manufacturing issues.
- Lead, coach and develop production supervisors and frontline manufacturing teams, including performance and employee-relations matters.
- Plan production schedules, priorities, manpower and resource allocation across multiple product lines.
- Develop, review and enforce SOPs, work practices and quality standards for existing and newly introduced products.
- Support new product introductions by developing production layouts, capacity plans and manufacturing readiness.
- Drive productivity, labour efficiency, equipment utilisation and product cost-reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, manpower plans and production capacity requirements.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and continuous-improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing performance.
- Support cross-site production transfers, product lifecycle changes and obsolescence planning.
- Ensure manufacturing operations comply with ISO 13485, FDA, hazardous-material and other applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- Min. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of manufacturing / production experience, preferably within a regulated environment.
- Approximately 8-10 years of supervisory, people-management or production-leadership experience.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience involving production equipment, manufacturing processes and quality issues.
- Good working knowledge across mechanical, electrical and process systems.
- Experience managing an ISO 13485 and/or FDA-regulated manufacturing line is strongly preferred.
- Experience with production equipment, hand tools, automated tooling and inspection gauges.
- Familiarity with SAP or other manufacturing ERP / materials-management systems.
- Experience with chemical, instrument, facility or related manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification will be advantageous.
- Experience leading Kaizen, root-cause analysis and continuous-improvement projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
