Job Summary
Lead fire protection projects by conducting site surveys, designing integrated fire protection systems, managing installations, and ensuring timely testing and certification to meet safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive fire protection site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints
- Design fire protection systems integrated with building and M&E services to ensure compliance and functionality
- Verify that all building plans comply with local and international fire safety codes and regulations
- Manage fire protection projects from initiation to completion, reviewing and inspecting team and subcontractor work to ensure timely installation
- Provide technical guidance to supervisors, drafters, and foremen to resolve design and installation challenges
- Oversee testing and commissioning activities to secure Required Inspection (RI) and fire safety system certification on schedule
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and issue purchase orders to support project procurement needs
- Compile and submit material catalogs for approval within project timelines
- Prepare and obtain approval for all safety documentation to ensure site safety compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Effective communication skills in reading and writing to facilitate clear technical documentation and coordination
- Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to support technical design and project management
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fire protection to ensure practical knowledge and expertise
- BCSS qualification to meet professional and regulatory standards in fire protection
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience with CAD and Revit software to enhance design accuracy and efficiency
- Possession of a Class 3 Driving License to support site visits and project logistics
