Role Summary
We're looking for a Senior Project Manager to own delivery across the data team's project portfolio and to build the project-management practice (PMO) that keeps our work predictable as we scale. You'll oversee all projects related to the data team — ensuring they ship on the agreed timelines — while standing up the governance, prioritisation, and reporting that let the whole portfolio run smoothly. Without direct reports, you'll lead through influence, coordinating Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, QA, Data Business Development, and the Product Owner toward on-time, on-scope delivery, clearing blockers, and keeping stakeholders informed. This role suits a seasoned project manager with a data/technical background and the seniority to hold cross-functional teams to their commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery of the data team's project portfolio, ensuring projects are completed on scope, on quality, and to the agreed timeline
- Plan and manage project timelines, milestones, and resources across multiple concurrent projects — both internal and external projects
- Coordinate Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, QA, Data Business Development, and the Product Owner across the project lifecycle
- Identify, manage, and clear bottlenecks, risks, and dependencies before they impact delivery
- Translate business and client requirements into clear, structured project plans the delivery team can execute
- Establish and run the data team's project-management practice — intake, prioritisation, and delivery standards that keep the portfolio predictable
- Maintain portfolio-level visibility across all projects, and a clear reporting rhythm — tracking progress, updating stakeholders, and escalating issues and decisions to the Head of Data & AI in a timely, structured way
- Plan and balance resources across competing projects to make the best use of the team's capacity
- Manage project scope and expectations across teams, negotiating and defending the data team's timelines and priorities when commitments or resources are at risk
- Continuously improve project-management tools, templates, and ways of working as the team grows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related)
- 8+ years of project management experience, including delivering data, analytics, or technology projects
- Experience establishing or running PMO / project-governance practices — intake, prioritisation, portfolio tracking, and delivery standards
- Solid data/technical background — able to understand the work of data engineers, analysts, and scientists well enough to plan realistically, challenge estimates, and unblock the team
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication — clear and confident in writing and in person, with the ability to report, update, and set expectations across technical and business audiences
- Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills — able to balance competing priorities, mediate across teams, and defend the data team's timelines and priorities with the seniority and diplomacy to hold the line without damaging relationships
- Strong problem-solving under pressure — stays composed when projects are at risk, diagnoses the real blocker, and drives resolution
- Adaptability — comfortable creating structure amid ambiguity and shifting priorities in a function that is still being built
- Excellent organisation, risk management, and structured reporting and escalation skills
- Proficiency with project-management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, or similar)
- Fluency in Thai and English (required)
