Senior Purchasing Engineer

A global consumer goods manufacturer is hiring a Purchasing Engineer to take ownership of supplier compliance and cost across its Thailand operation.

This isn't a PO-processing job. You'll be the technical gatekeeper between what customers demand and what suppliers actually deliver.

What you'll own

• Supplier compliance — REACH, RoHS, SVHC, heavy metals, conflict minerals, radioactive contamination, ISO. If it needs a certificate, it goes through you.
• Technical documentation — specs, MSDS, composition sheets, lab reports. Complete, current, audit-ready.
• On-site supplier audits that keep the base honest.
• Real cost reduction — not shaved pennies. Structural savings on direct and indirect spend.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Material, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 10+ years in purchasing engineering, across direct materials (metal, stainless steel, aluminium, plastic, paper) and indirect.
• Fluency in manufacturing processes and machinery — you can talk shop on a factory floor.
• Working knowledge of the regulations, directives, and acts that govern consumer goods.
• A bias for action. Multiple priorities, competing pressures, and you still close things out.
