Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Python Automation Tester with 3–5 years of experience to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python-based automation frameworks, API testing, and CI/CD practices, with a passion for delivering high-quality software through robust automation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Python.
  • Develop and enhance scalable automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and backend services.
  • Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated test suites.
  • Perform API automation testing using REST APIs and validate responses using appropriate tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA teams to understand requirements and define effective test strategies.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a quality assurance perspective.
  • Maintain automation scripts, test data, and documentation.
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and quality processes.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Software Testing with strong focus on Python Automation.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Python automation frameworks such as:
    • Pytest
    • Robot Framework
    • Selenium with Python
    • Playwright (preferred)
  • Experience in Web UI automation testing.
  • Strong experience in API Automation Testing using REST APIs.
  • Good understanding of JSON, XML, HTTP methods, and API validation.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
  • Good analytical and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
