Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Backend Developer for a Global Enterprise Client with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, API development, Snowflake, Azure Cloud Services, and Terraform to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise-grade applications and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building robust backend systems, designing microservices, developing APIs, and delivering secure, high-performance solutions in Azure environments. Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot to enhance engineering productivity and code quality is highly desirable.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in Python backend development.
• Extensive experience with FastAPI and modern Python frameworks.
• Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Experience building and supporting microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience working with SQL and data modelling.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Hands-on expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
• Strong knowledge of Git, GitHub, and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of security best practices, authentication, authorisation, and cloud security principles.
